The modern legal profession in Nigeria is over a century old and so we thought it fitting to give a tribute to some of our learned seniors who made an impact on the legal and political landscape of our country.  We are by no means trying to say that they are the only lawyers of note who have practiced in Nigeria so from time to time we will remember those who have elevated the status of the legal profession.  Sadly, we have also had to mourn the unexpected loss of Professor Jadesola Akande, who like a quiet storm pushed the issues of women to the consciousness of the public and as a mother and teacher, nurtured young lawyers who we are sure will carry on her legacy of hard work, dedication, compassion, and service to humanity.

You will notice that our Sports in Law section is different this time.  We have shifted focus from just the elements (rules and regulations of play) of a sport to discussing specific legal issues in the world of sports, starting with an overview of Sports Law.

In keeping with the times and the ever-evolving technology sector, we had a chat with Adeniji Kazeem, to understand his passion for information technology and its impact on legal practice.  

You'll also notice that we have a new look.  Even though the magazine is of interest to all ages and we try to make sure that there's something entertaining for everyone, we're trying to wear a more grown up look.  We are in our 5 th year and that is pretty grown up for a publication.  We would like to get your feedback on the changes you observe and what areas you think the content could focus on.
