Act 2, Scene 1

The curtains closed on our First Act with loud applause and we wish to thank all of you who stuck it out with us for one year.  As the curtains rise on the Second Act we hope that those of you who sat in support of our First Act will remain in your seats and enjoy what we have in this Act.

Last year, as babies in the publishing industry, we took missteps, learned some shortcuts the hard way and by the end of the year, with the support and feedback from our readers and friends in the Industry, took some decisions to help us perform better in our Second Act. We must thank our friends at Taijo Wonukabe, Punch Newspapers, Abuja Inquirer, etc., for their kind support and encouraging words.

For all of you who hounded us about the size of the magazine in the First Act, we have reduced it, but be assured that we will continue to pack every edition with edutainment, as we have also increased the number of pages.

In this edition we present the beginning of an article on the United Kingdom’s Immigration Rules, in enough time to be of use to those of you planning your summer vacations in the UK.  Rahmat Ambali introduces us to the Responsibilities of a Man and Wife in the Marriage Contract under Islamic Law, and we also have our regular features: The Prodigal Lawyer, Chude’s Present Continuous, My Story and Metamorphosis.
